Maldonado v. Park Plaza Hotel
Ms. Maldonado came to Izquierdo Law after discovering that her husband had been robbed and murdered at the Park Plaza Hotel in Hialeah, Florida. A lawsuit was filed against the hotel and the security company for inadequate security, which could have prevented Ms. Maldonado from becoming a widow. Izquierdo Law, along with the firm of Haggard Parks, obtained the highest negligent security settlement in Florida history at that time.
Abreu v. General Hospital
During an unrelated visit to our office, Ms. Abreu brought her infant child, who had been born with brain damage. After an initial review of the facts, Izquierdo Law filed a claim against the hospital for medical malpractice during the delivery stages and successfully settled the case. As a result of her structured settlement, Ms. Abreu's baby will receive nearly 10 million dollars over their life.
Doe v. ABC Engineering Co. ETC. AD
After suffering catastrophic wrist and head injuries in a slip and fall accident, Mr. Doe consulted with our office. In spite of much litigation, our firm was successful in compensating Mr. Doe and his injuries.
Serrano v. Castillo & Rex Chemical Company
Ms. Serrano and her husband were violently rear ended by the defendant who was a sales representative for Rex Chemical acting within the course and scope of his employment. As a result, Ms. Serrano suffered severe injuries to her lower back and underwent an L-5 lumbar operation. Izquierdo Law reached a successful settlement agreement prior to trial.
On November 3, 2017, Ms. Tellez was driving 2003 Ford SUV crossing an intersection when the Defendant driving a tracker trailer collided into Ms. Tellez’s vehicle. Ms. Tellez did not seek immediate medical treatment.
Ms. Tellez had right shoulder surgery.
We successfully obtain a $250,000.00 settlement recovery on Ms. Tellez’s behalf.
On December 19, 2017, Mr. John Doe was the driver of a compact sports utility vehicle at a complete stop. The Defendant driving a semi-truck with cargo violently rear-ended Mr. John Doe’s vehicle. The force of this impact caused Mr. John Doe’s rear window to shatter and hatch back door to crumble. Mr. John Doe did not seek immediate medical attention.
On February 17, 2019, Mr. Marin was driving his motorcycle crossing an intersection when the Defendant, made a left turn in front of oncoming traffic. Mr. Marin’s motorcycle struck the Defendant’s vehicle.
Mr. Marin sustained a finger fracture of his left hand.
We successfully obtained policy limits of $100,000.00 on behalf of Mr. Marin.
On June 19, 2019, Ms. Aguilar was stopped for a red light when she was rear ended by Defendant 1(Crash #1). These two cars then pulled off to the side of the road. Ms. Aguilar stepped out of her vehicle to inspect her rear bumper damage. While standing between these two vehicles, Defendant 2(Crash #2) struck at fault vehicle which then pushed that vehicle into Ms. Aguilar. Ms. Aguilar’s left knee was pinned against her own vehicle.
Ms. Aguilar sustained a left knee, medial meniscus tear. No surgery was required.
We successfully obtained the policy limits of $10,000.00 from Defendant #1 and policy limits of $100,000.00 from Defendant #2.
On July 1, 2018, Mr. Benitez was the vehicle operator and his wife, Ms. Diana Rodriguez was the front seated passenger, when they were crossing an intersection. The Defendant failed to yield the right of way and collided into their vehicle.
Ms. Rodriguez sustained abdominal injury requiring a hospital stay.
Mr. Lazaro sustained lumbar vertebra pain and suffering.
We successfully obtain the policy limits of $100,000.00 for Ms. Rodriguez and
$100,000.00 for Mr. Benitez.
